How this playbook changes in Sri Lanka

making a school timetable in Sri Lanka changes where the local calendar, boards, and fee practice differ from a generic weekday school. A timetable that teachers retype into attendance is three tools. Publish one grid on the same calendar the holiday master already drives.

Academic operations align to January enrolment aligned to the southern academic calendar and Sri Lanka term boundaries on a central holiday-aware calendar. term fees with transport and activity levies January enrolment aligned to the southern academic calendar term report cards and national GCE examination windows

Fee collection habits: term fees with transport and activity levies Assessment rhythm: term report cards and national GCE examination windows Private, independent, and international schools in Sri Lanka - especially around Colombo, Kandy, Galle, and Jaffna - often run GCE O/L, GCE A/L, Cambridge pathways with Sinhala, Tamil, and English-medium tracks. Coordinators juggle January enrolment aligned to the southern academic calendar while finance teams track term fees with transport and activity levies. Sri Lankan families increasingly expect portal access for fee receipts, attendance summaries, and term report cards and national GCE examination windows - not phone calls to the front office. Schoolyi connects admissions, roster, fees, exams, and family communication on one academic calendar so multi-grade roster discipline on one student information record does not live in disconnected spreadsheets. Whether you operate a single campus or a growing group, Schoolyi gives Sri Lankan school teams modular rollout: start with admissions, student records, and fees, then switch on timetable, exams, and HR when staff are ready.
