Exam day operations

Before exam day, coordinators generate and persist seating by venue capacity, assign invigilators, and set schedule publishDate so families can see papers and download hall tickets. Exam day screens support invigilators and coordinators for roll call, absentees, and irregularities.

Setup (before the day)

1. Define venues and capacity at /exam-venues.
2. Assign venues and invigilators on each paper; resolve leave clashes when assigning.
3. Generate and persist seating for the session (auto-allocation by room capacity).
4. Spot-check accommodations (extra time, scribe) against student profiles and hall tickets.
5. Set session publishDate so /my-exams and /parent/exams show the timetable and tickets.

Day-of workflow

• /exam-day - today's papers across venues (participant-first for assigned invigilators)
• /exam-day/[paperId] - roster, seating chart, absentee and irregularity marks
• Hall tickets - QR-backed PDF at /my-exams and /parent/exams after schedule publishDate
• Invigilator assignment - linked to staff roster per venue/paper; substitute accept flow supported
• Accommodations - flags on exam-day roster from student profile
• Class Exams - /my-class/exams for homeroom teachers to review class papers and progress
