Use /reports for operational analytics across modules. Leadership KPIs live on /dashboard. Compliance and security teams use /activity-log exports (including SIEM NDJSON).
Setup workflow
- Confirm role access - Principal and department heads typically see /reports.
- Configure brandbook at /settings/brandbook for school colors on printed and portal surfaces.
- Publish notices at /notices so dashboards and the notices feed stay current.
- For transport boarding history, ensure duty boarding marks are in use (drivers / day sheet) so reports have data.
Run a report
- Open /reports - browse categories from the catalog API.
- Select a report, set filters (date range, class, academic year, etc. as offered).
- Review the data table; switch to the Chart tab when a visualization is available.
- Export CSV/PDF/Excel where the report UI offers those formats.

- /dashboard - leadership KPIs; drill into modules from widget links.
- /activity-log - filter by module, action, status, or search; then Export.
- High-frequency polling endpoints are excluded from the activity trail to reduce noise.
